As part of the Frontier Technology Event on 1st November, DFID is excited to host UAVAid, the UK leader in the development of Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) ‘drone’ technology specifically optimised for international development and disaster response applications.

June 20-21, 2016. Held at the University of Sheffield, UAVAid co-hosted a special conference on Cargo Drones in Humanitarian Contexts. With UAVAid involvement led by Daniel Ronen, the event brought together leading experts, users and regulators from across the world to discuss issues relating to the use of delivery drones in humanitarian applications.
UAVAid co-founder, Daniel Ronen, delivered a presentation to IMechE members and Brunel University engineering students on UAV frontier technology applications for humanitarian assistance and healthcare development in low infrastructure environments.
